So, I just want to point out something, here.  I gave Ginny the username and password to this blog so that she could continue the updates.  Clearly, that isn’t happening   😉  Just sayin’.  Apparently taking care of two small boys, continue all of John’s therapies, teaching ASL to high schoolers, maintaining a household, and being a wife makes for a pretty busy life.

Thank you everyone for your continued interest in John and the rest of the Moorefield family!  I will do my best to post more often.   Just a couple of quick updates on John: It’s been confirmed that he’ll need a rod placed in his back to help keep his spine straight as he grows.  There’s no date set for that, but will let you know when we know.  Last week, both John and Wayne were sick and John had trouble sleeping… which meant pretty much the whole Moorefield household had trouble sleeping.  But other than that, all is well in the Moorefield household.

aaannnddddd my personal favorite:

John came out of surgery just fine (also, it was a surgery on his hip, not his spine.  my bad)

although he was NOT happy when he came out….  Ginny said he stopped crying after a while, though, but now he’s pale and looks a bit lethargic.

Doctors say if he doesn’t get color back soon and start to perk up, he’ll have to have a transfusion 😦  Please continue to pray for the little guy…

Hello, prayer warriors!!  John is heading into surgery tomorrow to help straighten his spine.  He’ll be in a cast for at least 4 weeks — pray for a successful surgery and a speedy recovery!!

Last weekend, John’s other aunt, Aunt Heather (Wayne’s sister) got hitched!!!  And as you can see, John had a GREAT time!  (Photos taken from Kristen Moorefield’s Facebook photos….. hope that’s okay)

But there’s only one woman for him 🙂

And now for a very exciting announcement:

The Moorefields are adding on to their clan!! 🙂  John’s going to be a big brother!   Little Baby Moorefield should be shipped and ready to go come May 2012.  God is so good!

So, remember that whole hoopla with the hospital and the totally-could-have-been-a-big-uproar-over-what-happened-except-they-didn’t-want-to-worry-about-if-John-would-still-receive-the-best-care-from-them-so-we’ve-been-sworn-to-secrecy-and-we-can’t-talk-about-it thing?   You know, the big *gasp* thing that happened roughly 3 months after the wreck? well, it’s finally starting to come together.  Here’s Ginny’s status update on it:

ok people …PRAY please. it looks like we should be able to get this whole Litegation thing wrapped up NEXT WEEK!!!!!! Now when we actually have access to it in order to get the van and the Trust and all that set up, I don’t know, but it has to be close….right??? Please pray that the Judge is cool with our financial plan and that if we do have to go down face to face to meet him that all goes well!

Seriously?  all they want is enough money for a van with a wheelchair lift so they can get John in and out safely.   It’s been such a long and arduous process and has left a bad taste in my mouth for a long time. So, I’m glad it’s at least close to the end, so please pray that it goes well and that the Judge favors Ginny and Wayne so that they can finally get the vehicle they need!

So, for those of you who are Ginny’s friends on Facebook, this is old news to you, but I figured I’d try to post it on here.  John’s making real progress in the walking department. She posted a video a week or two back and the progress he’s making is really quite unbelievable.  Someone (I’m not naming any names, here) hasn’t sent me the video through email, so I’ll just post the link here.  If you can’t see it, it means you have to friend her first.

He also had to get glasses, which I think Ginny was a little upset about.  But I think he looks rather dashing, don’t you? 🙂

Wayne made it through the first round of layoffs. I’m not sure how many rounds they’ll have, but thank you for the prayers!  And please pray for the families weren’t so fortunate.

John lost his first tooth!  The question is… where did it go??

Ok, people…. we need your prayers!  Cisco is laying off a good number of people nationwide — please in prayer that Wayne isn’t one of them. I shudder to think how that would work without their main source of income and no insurance…  Also, please be in prayer for the families who are laid off.
